Question 1

What is Picspace?

Accepted Answer

Picspace is a photo delivery and management platform for photographers. Upload, organise, and share galleries with clients — with AI-powered search, access controls, and download management built in.

Question 2

Do I need an account to try Picspace?

Accepted Answer

No. Drop your photos at picspace.io/get-started and see your grid instantly. You only need an account when you're ready to share or save your work.

Question 3

Is Picspace free?

Accepted Answer

There is a free plan to get started. Paid plans start at €19/month and add more storage, more uploads per month, team seats and features with a running cost — choosing your portfolio address, ratings analytics, AI enhancement with your own OpenAI key and the blur filter from Studio; face tagging, full analytics and SFTP from Professional; video review from Agency. Search, sharing, invite-only and password-protected galleries and client feedback are on every plan, Free included.

Question 4

How does AI photo search work?

Accepted Answer

Picspace uses CLIP (a visual AI model) to understand what's in each photo — no manual tagging required. You can search by describing a scene ("golden hour portrait"), an object, a colour, or a feeling, and it finds visually matching photos instantly.

Question 5

How does face tagging work?

Accepted Answer

Picspace detects faces in your photos and generates a unique embedding for each face. You name a face once; the app finds all other photos containing that person. Face data is processed on-server and never sent to third parties. Included from the Professional plan.

Question 6

How do I share a gallery with a client?

Accepted Answer

Select your photos, click Share, give the gallery a name — done. You get a link your client can open in any browser with no app download required. Galleries can be public, password-protected, or private invite-only.

Question 7

Can I control what clients are allowed to download?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can allow all downloads, set a per-client download quota (e.g. choose any 30 photos), or hand-pick exactly which photos are available for download — without removing anything from the gallery view.

Question 8

What file formats does Picspace support?

Accepted Answer

In the browser: JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF and HEIC/HEIF. Over SFTP upload you can also send TIFF and the major RAW formats (ARW, NEF, CR2, CR3, DNG, RAF, RW2), stored as-is with their EXIF; ZIP import also takes TIFF. On Agency and Enterprise plans you can also upload videos as MP4, MOV or M4V in the browser.

Question 9

Can I upload directly from my camera?

Accepted Answer

Yes. SFTP upload is included in the Professional, Agency and Enterprise plans — no add-on to buy. Connect any camera with built-in FTP/SFTP to Picspace, and photos land in the correct gallery automatically.

Question 10

Can clients review videos in Picspace?

Accepted Answer

Yes, on Agency and Enterprise plans. Upload a cut (up to 10 GB on Agency, 20 GB on Enterprise) into a gallery next to your photos; clients pin comments at a moment and a place in the video, approve it or request changes, and you upload the next version or deliver the original. H.264 and HEVC videos up to 4K play in the browser.
